NEW LABEL-BOLLOCKS: Gaming Disorder

Oh, I had a chuckle on an 18th September, 2019 finding.

I learned then of how we have a new “Gaming Disorder”.
It is not known if it will be in any DSM update, but was added
to the World Health Organization’s ICD {International Classification
of Diseases}.

Completely ridiculous. It is a habit, not an illness/disorder,
and I bet that you intellectually know that. It peeves me
big-time that someone can be starting to freak-out over
suddenly thinking there is something wrong with them; after
all, if there is now something in a “professional” manual used
by doctors, it must be true!

It is like the psychs/whomever are trying to make
perfect people. Nobody is allowed to simply be a
certain way. It makes sense to me that people
are becoming more “mentally ill” because new labels
are determined. This is one example, right? Expanding on
that, I think that creations like this cause people to be afraid
of “becoming” the next so-called sickness … so, they might
even not do certain things {many things?} and thus still ‘get’
“mental illness” from avoidant ways.

People, do not fall for it. Remember that your psych, if you have one,
can easily fit into their own manual many times as well. In fact, I
think that can be a part of your separation from the system: diagnose
the “experts” using their own manual.

The majority of that DSM is purely subjective opinion. It is for insurance
purposes mostly {and you know that also}. Except for real brain-injuries
as a cause, I believe that the known “mental illnesses” are originating
from an accumulation of habits. This is what I learned from a helpful
video that made a lot of sense to me; I loved finding videos that taught
ideas not given by the unoriginal employees of “behavioural health”.

Habits can be broken. Change of habits need to be desired
from the individual
because that makes it worthwhile instead
of being talked into it.

Do not get into the habit of thinking you are “mentally ill”
definitely and that psychiatry is the only thing that knows
what is best for you.

When is “Psychiatry Created Disorder” going to appear?

To me, that is already in existence and the cure
was to start-anew without any of its influence.

Mark Twain once said “Truth is mighty and will prevail. There’s nothing the matter with this, except that it ain’t so.” The continued existence of psychiatry is an example of how right Mark Twain was. The Wikipedia article titled “... Continue →
